Abstract: The aim of this work is to formalize the main concepts related to the myopic behavior in the preference relation of economic agents. For this purpose, the existing definitions in the academic literature will be analyzed and new definitions will be provided, studying the relationship between them. These concepts will be treated both in discrete spaces, through sequences, and in continuous models based on functional spaces. In addition, the concept of "myopia of the past" will be studied and discussed in an economic framework.
