First Steps in Submitting Papers and Asking for Projects
It is an activity organized within the framework of the WIT (Welcoming International Talent) program
Brief description:
This course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to allow them publishing scientific papers in International Journals and to be able to ask for funding in public calls.
Course structure:
The course would be divided into 4 classes of 2 hours each.
Contents:
- Experimental design and writing process
- Election of the proper structure for each paper type
- Election of the appropriate journal, quality assessment of the journal
- Instruction for authors
- Preparation and submission of the manuscript
- Peer review process and communication with reviewers
- Dissemination of your research after publication
- Identifying a social problem
- How to write a good proposal for a regional, national and/or international call
- The candidate CV
- The characteristics of the specific call and how to meet the standards
- The accuracy of the proposal description
Objectives:
This course aims to provide students with knowledge to give the first steps on the publication of scientific papers and the process of asking for funding for their projects.

Methodology: In person
Dates: February 16 and 23 – March 1 and 8
Schedule: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Location: EDONA training room (El Sario Building)
Maximum of students: 20
Up to 4 EHTs (equivalent hours of training) may be assigned
